In the Lord of the Rings trilogy, Herugrim is the sword of King Theoden, the ruler of the land of Rohan. Herugrim means “fierce in war”. This sword was hidden from King Theoden by Grima Wormtongue, his councilor. After he was saved by Gandalf, he regained his sword and led several wars including the battle of the Hornburg and Pelennor Fields.
