One of my neighbors has a lovely garden arbor that I have been eyeing for several years.  My husband has known how much I wanted one for the yard to create an arched entrance into a very special garden that we built as a tribute to my mother after she passed away a few years back.  It is full of antique roses that she loved and grew at her home.  We took cuttings and worked with a horticulturist to get it just the way she would have liked it.  Needless to say, it is a very special place to me and I had found the Tuileries Arbor the year before and pointed it out to him so he would know the one I wanted.

I had to wait a while but when I came home from work on my birthday last month, there it was; just like I had pictured.  This beautiful garden arbor that fit my mother’s garden so well was welcoming me and even though it is the dead of winter, I immediately saw the roses in full bloom climbing up the sides and filling in the top to create the canopy I imagine. I always anticipate spring but this year the anticipation is ever so sweet.
