There’s something so inviting and comforting about the smell and taste of homemade cookies. Part of the reason is the sentimental part, the memories of baking in the kitchen with my sisters and my grandmother. The other part is how delicious they are! Now that I’m older I’m busy making new memories with my own children, spending time in the kitchen cooking together and of course, baking chocolate chip and oatmeal raisin cookies. Winter is just around the corner and I know we’ll be having the oven on a lot more and filling up our ceramic cookie jar again with batches of homemade goodies.

We love our cookie jar. When I bought it online I was so happy when the jar arrived because it was even nicer looking than I had hoped for. The design is perfect for our kitchen, classic but stylish and as much as we use it, it still look as perfect as the day I bought it. I chose the cobalt blue because it complemented my walls and new counter top so well. Then at Christmas last year, I ended up buying the white one for my sister and her family because she loves new kitchen gadgets as much as I do and the cookie jar ended up being one of her favorite gifts!
